Thread: A new way to get information from the Devs

How about we ask yes or no questions instead of just posting ideas or telling them what we want and see if we can get any info on what they may/may not be planning for the commando. Such as

Do you plan on making the current Commando weapons more deadly? i.e. faster shots and/or more damage and/or more armor piercing (this includes EVERY commando weapon)

Do you plan on giving Commandos more defenses (melee, ranged, some kind of dodge move, toughness, resistance to stun, knockdown, etc.)?

Do you plan on changing the skill trees to give us more accuracy, better speed, or better/more diverse specials?

Do you plan on combining the HAR and FT trees (since they are identical except for the weapon used) to make room for a completely different weapon/skill tree? If you do, there are plenty of good ideas in these forums that you can get inspiration from.

Do you plan on adjusting stack sizes for any of the consumables (grenades, rockets, etc.)?

Do you plan on changing the effective ranges of weapons to make them more useful, especially for grenades so that we stop doing more damage to ourself than to the enemy since our ranged defense is so low. May also be useful so that we don't have to be in melee range (where the enemy will ALWAYS hit us) and will also have a decent chance at fighting long range combatants (ex: rifleman).

If you guys have any more yes/no questions to ask the devs, please post them here. Only constructive responses, please.

Actually these type of posts are TH's favorites from what I've seen...and to be honest, they seem to work best if you post questions like these in his weekly round table posts...notice he seems to respond best to the short and sweet questions...

Unfortunately you have to be prepared for his standard response (which amazingly I've seen him use even after the "State of the Game" letter was posted) which is:

This will be addressed with the Combat Rebalance...

And if you understand marketing lingo...notice that the response doesn't say "Yes" or "No"...just that it will be "addressed"....

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country. - Hermann Goering

Alright, I reposted on the round table discussion. Hopefully they will give us some replies.

Garvin hit the nail on the head. He is very evassive and lacks commitment. It isnt really his fault though mainly because as soon as he lets a little information out we will pin him on it hard when it doesnt happen. And when it doesnt happen it is not his fault at all. It is the producer and other behind-the-scene Developers that say what goes in and what doesnt. That is probably the real reason he is so tight lipped lately.
