Thread: How bad is the accuracy on limited use weps?

Some folks seem to think the accuracy isn't that bad on the rocket launcher. Others apparently still use grenades. I'm not a commando so I'm just trying to understand how bad it is.
Are we talking grenades hit 50% of the time at master or we talking 10% of the time? What about RL? Other heavy weps?

the only thing i have hit with a rocketlauncher is a turret (which cant dodge). other than that, i dont really use them, i tried shooting an ATST once, and i missed 3x in a row... learned my lesson... those RLs are expencive. and gernades hurt me more than i care to admit.

well, i usually avoid grenades, since i use up a stack / mob or so..
i tried the rl some last night on a singing moutain clan arch witch..
I was kneeling at 55m and used aim + she was standing still so i took about 4-5k of ham with each shot.. when she did move i missed completely once and she blocked once taking just 2-3k of ham (how the hell do ya block an incoming missile anyways?)
If ya can afford the rl.. use it against high end stuff like nighsisters and krayts maybe but only if you get something to tank for ya.
Admittedly im only 0-0-2-0 in commando so im sure itll just get better as i go..

I was playing around with PB cannon last night when we were clearing a kimo spawn out of our city. I speed sliced it so I was firing very fast, but wasn't really seeing the damage. I was kneeling, it was moving and between 30m and 60m, and i was hitting a little better than 60%. The resistances make these weapons only suited for specific purposes. RL for turrets, and the rest for vulnerable creatures.
I did better with a cheap jawa rifle last night. It made me feel unclean.

I agree that grenades are pretty much a waste of money.
I tested out some grenades at about 30m away from a pack of gnorts. I threw it and suddenly had about 5-6 gnorts attacking me. The grenade did absolutely no damage.
So far the only thing that hits very well is the flame thrower. I still miss a lot with that gun, but it's not 'too bad'.
