I see on the bazaar that most of our weapons are listed under "Rifle". Does this mean our Heavy Weapons mods don't apply to them?

I can put PUs on my Acid Rifle and Lightning Cannon but nothing on PFT.

I'm speaking of the def/acc/spd mods that you get from the commando profession. If the guns are marked Rifle, I would expect that Rifle Speed would apply to it and not Heavy Weapons speed.
