Thread: If You Give Us Nothing Else at Least Increase the Range of Our Weapons!

Yes, I still play commando with the hope of "what will be", but given the FanFest comments I have read I have little "hope" for anything soon. So, one thing that would be simple to do, improve commando combat options and have little effect on balance given our low damage and non-existent splash effect would be to increase the range of some of our shorter weapons.


A few hallmarks of almost all "heavy weapons" throughout time have been range and damage.


Currentlyour damage is nothing "heavy" and our range is only notable on one or two weapons. Isuggest we at least have the range increasedto 65 (ok I would settle for 50) on most, not all mind you, but most.


The lightning cannon for expample....its a freakin cannon and can barley spit out 40 meters. The flamers I understand and can be left at 40m. Acid rifle...45m? Its a rifle....call it a carbine if its only 45m.


So, I think a range increasewould be helpful.


As an aside Iagree with those that say we should have two flavors of everyweapon...a area of effect and a pinpoint. Make these merely a set like the AcidRifle and Acid Stream.


And since our hallmark is an AoE then forget that acid blind stuff and giveacidweapons a burn like flamers and lightning...makessense it seems...


And where is a heavy plasma cannon......

oh....my fault for leaving it out...


Our heavy particle beam cannon...another cannon that must use wet powder....only 40m? Come on....I want a cannon not a heavy particle pistol.

what ever happened to the talk of weapons having switches on them that changed what they were capable of.... would have been cool to be able to toggle AOE on and off.
