Thread: (please read) what could make us damage dealers and its doesnt change a thing in game.

Why do pistoleers and riflemen have area attacks? Maybe we have too many professions filling too many roles leaveing the broken ones like Commando w/o a role. One thing I envisioned if they ever got our AOE working was a group soley of Commandos. Imagine 8 Commandos in a group opening up on a crowded lair. Everything would be hit and even with borked damage that's gotta hurt! I'm going to love when AOE works andwe can do this toranged MOBS since they'll stay in a tight little group instead of rushing up to you like they used to.

yeah, and what gets me, is that if you use fanshot with a Plasma Flame Thrower, you still do 0 damage AOE. /sigh

Rifleman don't have AOE attacks - we have to take another profession for them.


The sameway that Commandos don't have single target attacks... Take another profession for them.

OK, cool thanks for clearing that up. I still want to see 8 man Commando groups taking out faction missions with massive AOE

god*amnit thats my point we didnt get any specials because we have to get another profession so why should rifleman be allowed to mix pistoleer specials with there rifles and get a aoe..... rifles should only use rifle specials.... rifles shouldnt be allowed to hit multiple things...


if this is the case then commandos should have their own specials get my drift!

ok heres the deal.....

we were told that commando's was gona be a scale 5 damage dealer but obviously we have found out compared to rifleman we aint no where near the mark...

ok now forget the fact that aoe's are broken but what needs to happen is once they r fixed we would be the damage dealers of the many meaning area attacks... the thing that stops us is rifleman using fan shot and stuff like that now in my opinion Rifleman should not be allowed to do area attacks! now i know this is gona pee alot of rifleman off, but really it would balance it out! but the big thing is why should other professions like rifleman be using a pistol special with their rifle??? wasnt that the main reason why commando was goin to be good and the reason why we havent got any specials of our own?

so basically what im saying is it should be like pre cu only the relevant specails work with the relevant weapons so yes scattres could still use pistols specails because its a pistol but rifles couldnt do pistol specials.

and the out come of the this would therefore make us the damage dealers of area and rifleman the damage dealers of the single shot.....

and we would have the attraction of being the onlyprofession able to boost other specials like a flame thrower lowblow which is a area knockdown

what do you think? i havent nerfed or changed anything in game only corrected what was supposed to be because i cannot find any where that mentioned rifleman bein able to use other professions specials and stuff... it kind of makes thecommando profession even more stupid that we dont have any specials because they can mix there specials with there weapons aswel.


and if that was implemented the only thigns that would need chnageing or fixing would be

the proton rifle to work.

make heavy weapons compatable with ranged arms

and yes thing old thing GET GRENADES SORTED! lol

Single target attacks dont work real well when all of your weapons are AoE.
