To the developer's:

I just wanted to let all the developers know that the Commando population is not going anywhere. Despite the fact that you are seemingly, at least in my eyes, trying to exterminate the professionby alienating an entire group of people who chose to play abroken profession whichyou put into the game. The latest post by Q concerning the Commando situation outraged most everyone on this boardand angered players from virtually every other class in the game. If you need proof, just look at the threads concerning the issue in the Commando board and other threads in the galaxies boards. I know there was an additional one in Starsider. Even people who have no desire to now, or ever, become a Commando are commenting on how much we are getting messed over. If that, and the fact that you drove our correspondent to quit the game entirely, isn't a large enough clue for you to get your act together then I don't know what is.

I know this has been harped on by many, but I was not able to post last night because of my anger over this situation and did not want to post a message that would have had ever other word edited out (althoughthanks to those who did, it has been enjoyable filling in the blanks). A flamethrower at0.0? An Acid Rifle at 0.0?A rocket Launcher at 0.0?Hmm lets think about this. I am sure some of you developers smoke. Next time you go to light one up, try holding the lighter 0.0 meters away. If you do this correctly, your lighter will be on your mouth and you will have scorched your lips. Now logically, that is a small lighter. What do you think would happen to you if you tried to light one up with a flamethrower? You would go up like a roman candle. Now say the ideal range on your lighter was 4 inches, you would be able to lightyour product of choice without frying your face. That is what the Commando's want. To not get fried because we have to besitting on top of our target getting pummeled by them in order to have a shot at hitting them. Oh and even if you are sitting on them, you still missat least half the time.

But I digress, sorry for the slip there. This thread is simply meant to reinforce the fact that we are not going to sit back and watch you destroy this class any more than you already have. I willNEVER drop Commando, even if you give us a new whiffle ball bat weapon that couldn't leave a bruise on what we are hitting with it. At least that would be a more accurate representation of the damageof which we are capable.

The actions taken by the developer's to this point concerning this situation are beyond reproach. And before someone comes on here and says,"We need content" and "Other classes are broken too," I know that and I want all the classes to be fixed as well, but I also want all the classes to get fair treatment. The only treatment Commandos have gotten isthe boot. And to my fellow Commandos, give those gnorts all they can handle. We will win in the long run one way or another. This isn't about simply fixing the class anymore, its about the slap in the face we have formally been given. The gauntlet has been thrown down. It's up to us to keep the fight alive.

Just read the dev's post now...I dont see how you wrote this post without seeing *edit*'s all over the place....

I agree with you. We have gone absolutely nowhere. Have we seen 1 update for commando sence launch? (not reguarding the "big patch" thats comming)

After reading the dev's post...I came down to the conclusion that they dont care. We ask for the 0.0 ideal range to change, and they give us a "well too bad for you" answer.

Bah!

I say again, Bah!
