Commando Archive

I started a new character on Shadowfire in hopes by the time my character reached Novice Commando, something will be fixed.

I read that Pistol skills apply to Launcher pistol. Cool, I can be a Pistoleer/Commando, get some much needed defense bonuses. Now someone mentioned Launcher pistols can't use Pistol skills anymore? Is that true? I hope not, if BH can use pistol AND carbine skills, why not a launcher pistol use pistol skills but gain heavy weapon XP?
