Thread: Unlearning Battle Skills After Novice Commando?

Question for the group - I'm a Weaponsmith, considering going Commando, but I don't have nearly enough skill points. This was my original intention, to make lots of grenades I can throw, but Commando has been so nerfed, so I just focused on making Bowcasters for my Wookie brethren. Now I could sacrifice my Medic skills and Scouting abilities to reach Novice Commando one day, which will be very hard on the unarmed XP since they nerfed my ability to use the Vibro Knuckles I recently paid 5K for, but *sigh*...
If I go ahead and suffer through the unarmed, pistol, etc (I'm currently carbine specialist is all), and reach Novice Commando... Can I then Unlearn Unarmed, and Pistol if I choose? Or do I need to keep them because it's a requisite for Novice Commando? I seriously doubt I can squeeze Weaponsmith, Master Marksman, Unarmed, and Commando skills all at once. Not to mention I won't be able to learn any new skills with the Expansion down the road, unless they give us 100 more skill points or something! Any tips would be greatly appreciated as my future depends on your feedback.

My understanding is if its a prerequisite you cannot drop it...If you need help figureing out how many skills/skillpoitns you can use goto google.com and type
swg character builder, do a search, and try one out...there are plenty...and then make ur template as you see fit...me

I think between LP w/ Smuggler abilities and (new) Heavy Weapons...i should be a pretty big force, not mention the drugs i will be on most of the time....

Wow, that's great! Thanks for the link. Now can you sell me your unused skill points? Hahah, get it? A Commando with unused skill points! Lol!
It seems that Commando and Weaponsmith go very well together, especially since there are 2 or so Commando schematics for explosives that only a Weaponsmith can use, tell me if i'm wrong... But there just aren't enough points to go around. Well, at least, certainly not enough to let me use my crate O' stims and become a creature handler, heheh. Thanks again for the link. Anyone know if the Expansion will grant more skill points? I figure I'll get Commando around then.
