Just wanted everyones opinoin on which combo will be more effective as far as pvp and just normal playing. Really want to go tka but i am 110k away from novice tka and now that they took away the vibro knucklers unless you are a tka novice, i am debating if i should just dump my points into pistoleer. Any opinions/info are appreciated

Go read the screams on the TKA board regarding pvp etc. If you really like the FU then go for it. Just learn to deal with the pvp problems melee has.

IMHO TKA is the way to go, although pistoleer is at this moment far more powerful than all other classes... combined... it is helpful to be able to tear up the battle field, melee style especially considering our weapons are useless... well more specifically at close range. So I think that a quick switch from heavy to melee could tip a battle into your favor. but that is my stance

I plan on being a little of everything from pistoleer, TKA and perhaps even some scouting for terain management.

the true benefit of TKA for commando is all those defense bonuses. to my understanding TKA has the most of any other profession.

TKA has the most defensive bonues by far, and they're all located in 2 branches within the skill tree. Those two branches also include a TKA knockdown, dizzy, head hit...etc.

These are the two basic designs there is one question that I think could help resolve it for you.

Do you think with your ranged weapons that you would use your knucklers 50% of the time? If the answer is no but you are still interested in tka just take the defensive skills.
