Will will improve, but you still wont be able to bet a Novice Marksman with some in Carbine tree.. lol

And yes the range sucks..

heh, as far as I can tell the Flame Thrower is a good at either long or "oh my god i'm in the god damned target'. if I want to attack with normal shots I back up to it's max range. If I use my special then I have to be right on top of them, but I still miss, so it doesn't really matter. I think you'd be better off pelting enemies with rocks until they decide to fix commando. Or maybe try another profession? it's never too late...

You miss all the time because:

A.) Your skill with it is not that good

B.) The range mods are not correct (biggest issue) but will soon be fixed.

Aside from that, it is still a situational weapon once it's fixed because in all honesty, they are not very good weapons DPS (damage per second) wise compared to other weapons out there.

I am up to flame thrower III in the tree now since the patch (that didnt take long thanks to the Launcher Pistol) and I use the flamethrower once I have dotted all the bunnies I am fighting (yep bunnies are the best). then I grab my Flamethrower and fire off Flame Cone 1 until it actually hits (still misses alot and I have better than average skill mods with the flame thrower). Once it hits, I switch back to my LP.

What's the proper range for this weapon? As of now? Cause I use my new flame thrower vs a rill...thats right...a rill and I missed 12 times in a row. I laughed my @#$ off for 10 minutes straight...then I cried. Is it point blank? medium/long range? And is that a bug...the constant missing with the flame thrower? And will it improve as I go up that skill line?
