Thread: whats the deal with the beam rifle?

before i get one one of these i want to know what it is.i saw one with the pretty much the same stats as an acid rifle, looked exactly the same, just did energy dmg instead of acid. i dont see its cert in any profession, just assumed it was commando since it looks just like the acid rifle. but since it doesnt have its own tree, does that mean it will use rifle specials?

im not positive but I think one of our guns are missing a weapon cert. Perhaps this is the one. don't quote me on that though

That's correct, it has no certs and uses rifle specials.


I've heard that in beta the Beam Rifle was the HAR, and was switched to a different damage type for diversity. Iwasn't inbeta, si I can't confirm this. If so, it may just be a remnant that will just disappear rather than being fixed.
