Like the subject says... what are commando weapons good for exactly? Are they good against people? Creatures? What?

yes, the special attacks are very good against all kinds of opponents.. you should always consider what your opponent has resists versus though as most, if not all, of the commando weapons DO NOT have armor piercing. So, yeah, they do good damage as long as the person has no protection and really good damage if you can get a special attack off (have to be 16 meters or less to attack with special attacks). I'm only a newb commando with firesingle1, and it works great when you can get up on someone.

The best of his class at secret training grounds on Yinchorr, Kanos was an expert at the echani fighting form and in wielding a force pike. Kanos' fanatical loyalty, though, was his greatest and most dangerous weapon. Even after Palpatine was defeated at Endor, Kanos and his fellow Royal Guardsmen remained true to the Imperial ideal. As Imperial moffs and admirals began greedily carving up the Empire to fuel their own ambitions, Kanos attempted to uphold the codes of the New Order.

Sure there is, I hit a guy for 1600, his armor absorbed 1000 of it, only 600 got through to his health.

about 3 seconds later he got incapped due to fire dot.

No idea, I never noticed it absorbing fire damage, i would assume that's heat. I see fulldamages when I get nailed by it.

Yea, you see the full dmg's but it's done on the recievers side the reductions and stuff. He told me all this after the duel.

Also, if you fight nightsisters, they have 100% heat resist hit them (obviously you won't do any dmg with the hit) but it will say you hit for say 6700. They'll then get about a 2000dmg fire dot, that's where your dmg is heh.
