Thread: What does a Commando make of the GCW? (role-playing question)

My current plan is to become a Commando/TKA. This would give me heavy weapons options with the ability to revert to kicking and punching if things get to close. Basically, the TKA was a role-playing choice.

However, after reading a few different posts on Commando, BH and role-playing the GCW in general I am starting to warm to the idea of an Imperial Commando/BH.

Imperial: Commando / BH

Would anyone like to comment on the relative merits of these two role-playing strategies, including comments on the game-play aspects of chosing these combinations?

Personally, I think the idea of a HWG (Heavy Weapons Guy) is cool but I am starting to think that it would be more suited to an Imperial soldier. I can't think of any scenes from the movies where a Rebel dominates the battlefield with big guns blazing. I could imagine a rogue combatant with heavy weapons skills and street fighting (TKA) skills becoming Rebel militia but I think that a rogue Bounty Hunter trained in Heavy Weapons (Commando) is more likely to be an Imperial thing. I'm imagining one of the Star Wars bounty hunters going into active service for the Empire.

Anyway, I'm just weighing up the options for both role-playing credibility and enjoyment of game-play.
