Thread: AoE Weapons with Daze Attacks

I'm thinking about going Master Smuggler, Master Commando.
In general, if I use a single attack with an area weapon will the attack actually work like an area attack? eg - If I use an Area WEAPON from Commando with Concussion shot, will all the enemies in the "area" become dazed? Another example - would area weapon make intimidate shot work on more than 1 target?

Ya ... my most prized attack when in a spinner group on dant is Concussion shot with the flamer... any type of state effecting attack will hit everyone with in range when using the flamer.I mezzed about 20 pikets in one shot doing this ... pretty sweet site to see too

I'm pretty sure you cannot affect more than 8 targets at once with AoE.

If I were AoE dazingcreatures I would use a weapon that did not apply a DoT. First damage tick will break the daze.

i have hit (and Aggro'd) over 50 (could have been ALOT more, it was a massive swarm, couldnt see my toon) targets at a broken spawn with AOE.

pre-cu, Area attacks only hit 8 targets (max). it could be different in the cu?

I think i have a screen shot from last week showing about 10 - 20 pikets get hit at once ... that or there was a few extra flames comin off there heads and the green -ROOT- was duplicated ....
