I remastered commando yet again but Ihave a hard time keeping it.

I use to come here and post alot and read many posts. But lately all I can do is glance. Becuase I know I realy can't expect any thing more then a bla bla wait wait wait. There coding this devs that. And docs bla bla bla.

Im sorry I don't mean to be sucha butt, but come on is any one else let down with our forum lately and feel there last hopes slowly trickle away to a anger of staying something that should have been fixed months and months ago?

Why do you think I'm cancelling my account for another 4 months?
I came on this month to save my toons from the database hounds wanting to delete 6 month inactive characters in October.

Anyway, don't despair though. This game really does have a LOT of promise and really great things that can be done with it. JTL is coming, then the Combat Revamp (Commando Love!), then the GCW revamp, then we'll stop and take stock of what we have and where more improvement is still needed.

But I'm going to just cancel my $45 a month and wait it out. The holidays are coming up and I could use the money better, plus my family may actually want to talk with me when I'm NOT playing SWG.

I'll be back after January 31st and see what's happening. I think things will be much better.

So I'm not sure what to tell you...except be patient.

Alot of people are in the same boat, I myself am paying alot of Theif III.....which is a great game! Other then that we have had the proverbial carrot put infront of our noses with the Revamp Docs. I trust Garvin, but even Garvin has been given the........well for lack of a better phrase...........the Silent Treatment from the Dev's, they are being exteremely tight lipped about the whole thing. This is understandable but we as a Community of devout gamers need something to chew on other then our tongues. I could care less about JTL.

Fable is pretty good, but not as great as the hype made i out to be. For me anyway. It just got boring after a week and I had done every evil thing possible in the game. My roomates and I even figured out how to exploit the hero save to open chests unlimited number of times and run certain quests as much as we wanted to gain xp and gold. SW:BF is very, very fun. Especially when played with someone else. It seems like its running on a modified bf engine. Needless to say, I almost always choose the class with the missle launcher =D

I also have been waiting for some kind of major change to the game lately, It just isn't the same game any more, not even close. I hit my cancel button on both accounts a few weeks ago, and my subscription ends November 11th, I thought about remastering commando, and have been waiting (just like everyone else who lurks in this forum hoping for good news) for them to make a positive change toit, not something little, but something to make it worth the 169 points it takes. With no change even visible on the horizon (and the dev response we're working on that...it will come sometime after JTL and the CB doesn't work any more for me) I am trying to find another game to play. Perhaps WoW will live up to all the hype, or maybe I'll go buy another PS2 (my old one didn't survive my move into my new apartment.)

I really hope therewill besome significant changes between now and november 11th, other then JTL. I'm especiallyhopeful aboutcommando, because it was the first class I really was gunning for, and I thought that it might be a fun change to play it again, butin its current state, I just can't justifying dropping rifleman to pick it up. If the light comes in the next month and a half then I'll be smiling next to all of you with another FT in my hands (and whatever new weapons could perhaps be implimented) but if the same old song plays on from the Devs, then I am going to be just another pair of canceled accounts.

I'm currently playing the original AVP, since the movie's out here soon. Stupid Euro-film release delays. And also the original Starsiege, in preparation for the Tribes:Vengeance and the mod, Starsiege:2845. I've also just got my student loan for this semester, so have ordered SW:BF and Dawn of War. As well as some T-shirts and Pokethulhu, the game.

Yeah after my gamecard runs out in a month i'll be out of this damn game... Right now I'm occasionally logging on for at most an hour. I also gave up master fencer and slowly am getting 0444 bh with Master Commando so I burn the f*ck out of everything before I leave. Who knows I may come back someday.

Skeptic666, what I highly suggest, without deleting your account or dropping commando, is to take a serious break from SWG.

I've got 4 things I'm splitting my precious time right now on: JtLS beta, Rome: Total War, SW:BF, and Dawn of War. Find some new games or dig up and old, good game you have somewhere. Or do something away from the computer. Anything.

For me, I will hold on until the Combat / GCW Revamps, the two great Holy Grails at the moment.

well, i feel bad about commando, and im not really playing much anymore, but the other day i got invited to do the beta for JTL, and i have to say two things.

1. its worth sticking around for.

2. i can see where the DEVs are spending all their time.

even if they dont fix everything for a while, we will all have something to keep us entertained.

man I WISH i had my master commando now.

If you dont have a jedi, you better use that master commando to grind jedi before the combat revamp. proton grenades lets people whiz through the FS xp grind. Im going at a decently fast rate with just C12's but if I had been using protons id be jedi by now. 2 more trees to go *sigh*

'Foolish boy. Don't you know anything about Fantasia? It's the world of human fantasy. Every part, every creature of it, is a piece of the dreams and hopes of mankind. Therefor, it has no boundaries.'
'But why is Fantasia dying then?'
'Because people have begun to loose their hopes and forget their dreams. So the nothing grows stronger. It's the emptiness that's left. It's like a despair, destroying this world. And I have been trying to help it.'
'But why?'
'Because people who have no hopes are easy to control. And whoever has control has the power'
