Thread: FT on High end stuff?

I am planning to add the FT branch of Commando because i love ranged, and setting stuff on fire is fun, what am i able to take on? I dont know the resists on a NS elder, or SBD, and since TKM is limited to only kinetic damage, i was looking for a different damage type but still be able to hold my own

well from what I can think off the top of my head rancors and NS have 100 heat res. and as for range with the FT is 16m far enough away? I guessa good thing about the FT against high end baddies is the wounding you can do.

Can i put a DOT on, say an elder, then switch to a vk, and tank away?

if you want elders, go master swordsman/master doc
and BTW, elders are 100% resist to everything but blast and energy. the launcher pistol is your only effective weapon for killing them, lol.

ehm... have someone tank the elder and take out your heavy particle beam cannon!!!!!
You can drop her in under 100 shots, problem is, with the massive damage you're doing you'll draw her agro

You can still stick a flame dot on anything with 100% heat, I've done this often with elders and SBDs. But use your highest damage FT to stick a better damaging fire.

with my 2.1 speed 920 max flamer i can burn and hit a canyon krayt about as fast as a MSwords can hit the mind. he eventually decided to use Hit3, i would have lost to him in loot rights if i wasnt grouped as i forgot to spam a load of single 2, ran out of the queue pretty quick. It ended up with around 220k/360k max ham due to wounds.
