Hello,

I used to get 60K xp per borgle lair when I was using C12s before I was a commando. Now I am 2000 commando and I am only getting 30-40K xp per lair?

Did they nerf nade xp recently or do I need to start using the more powerful nades to get the high xp?

What type of weapon were you equipping when you did the attacks? If you use a weapon that you are more proficient in then you will get less exp. So use a weapon you aren't good with, like a polearm or something. It will give you more exp that if you still have your flamethrower equipped.

Hmmm... Here is what happened to me.

I was Master Swords/Fencer. I was grinding weapons/combat xp using my primary weapons. I wouldgrind for2 hours a day and get 900K weapons and 90K combat xp, which converts to 60K FS xp.

The next day I would cap my other wepaon and return to the village to convert. 120K fs xp every 2 days.

Capping swords or fencer required 13 or so huurton lairs. I get aout 70K a lair. This just sucked.

I read about the nade method and tried it out.

I bought 2 cases of C12s and switched to borgles or whatever those bat things on endor are. I threw 10 stacks per lair and wound up getting 60K combat xp per lair. 5 Lairs cap me with 300K combat xp. I always had my scythe or gaffi equipped as those were the only weapons i carried and I was master of each.

I was in love. It took about 15 mins to kill the lairs instead of the 5 or so mins I was used to with a scythe or gaffi but, i was capping in far fewer lairs. So i was capping faster and getting more FS in trade. I was hooked.

I decided to drop swords and take on 4000 commando. I was now able to carry many more wepons but I had lesser skills. I went back to throwing nades at huurtons with VKs and pistols equipped and started to notice aserious drop in xp per kill. I thought it had something to do with using C12s when I was qualed for much better so, I bought thermal dets and saw no improvement. Then I went back to borgles thinking that was a better mo... still no increase.

I finally noticed that when I kept my gaffi, I finally started to get the high xp.

My assumption now is no matter how good you are with nades or what nade you use or what mob you are fighting, your xp is awarded based on your primary equipped weapon, even if you are not using it it. I NEVER attack mobs, i only attack the lair so, you guys that get low xp with a weapon equipped are sharing xp between your nades and your primary. I think if you make an effort to avoid fighting with your primary, but keep it equipped, you will be getting 5500 combat xp per kill like me.
