I've killed a few krayts (canyons and 1 ancient) in a 4 man group, 3 fighters, 1 combat medic/doctor.
Good buffs, mind buff, canape, muon, and brandy for me.
Not sure what everyone else uses.'
I am TKM working on master commando, I would apply the flame dot, then switch to my knuckler. We had 2 tkms (me included) and a master swordsman/fencer to stack another bleed on it. I would also pull the launcher and stack more bleeds.

A commando can not take a Krayt on themselves using a commando weapon. The 2.5x damage modifier kicks in and even if you are buffed and armored, you will die... however, you can use the flamer to stack your burnsonto their health (flame cone 1 and 2, flame single 1 and 2) and then switch to your VK and use Body Hit 1. The whole time you should keep Center of Being running and make sure that you use Intimidate. You might want to consider getting Master Brawler for Intimidate 2... you will need to repeat this process every couple of minutes, since you need to reapply the flame DOT and also reapply the Intimidation and C.o.B.

Not sure if it is stillworking but a few months ago a novice combat Medic and I , a Master Rnger at the time) stood around and watched 2swordsmen take out krayt after krayt in ten minute fights.
I found 'em the medic healed theswordsmen - not very oftenImight add.
The two of us thought it was a very good idea to not have to work up a sweat.

The way I do it is with a speed capped Swordsman / Master Brawler/ medicfriend of mine, a Master Doctor / Master (speedcapped) Rifleman, and me, Master Commando/TKM. Olie tanks, and dishes out massive damage with his 830 acklay hammer, I dot it like hell and rifleman owns the rest, we can take down any krayt in under 20 minutes, but the normal ones take about 7-8. you must have dizzy food (it doesn't matter if you fall down so long as you can get up) or KD food (it doesn't matter if you're dizzy so long as you never get Knocked Down), snow cakes, and most important of all, dance/music buffs. the Doc can come heal up your Health/Action in a few secounds it takes to get the thing off you, but iff you get mind incapped you're just SOL. I also use moun in a tight spot, but I don't recomend counding on it. ahrisa can help to if you plann on switching to TKA moves, but isn't needed for FT specials. well that's all I can think of that I do, my rifleman doc friend uses SS2, and my swordsmand friend uses whatever his master hit is.

to put it more simply, if you want looting rights, bring Swordsmen and Riflemen. if you want it down fast bring Sowrdsmen, Riflemen, commandos, and CMs. to stay alive stay off your back. that means dizzy and/or KD foods. your mind is important, protect it. and BRING A DOC! they can (and will) save your lifes if you end up with two or more krayts on you.

Good point... always drag the Dragon at least 100-200m from the original spawn location to avoid this.

Swordsman are the best equipped profession to deal with Krayts solo (based on defenses and damage output)... however this is the Commando forum so we don't normally admit to that

Having one or two good tanks, like a TKM or Fencer to keep the Krayt busy and taunted AND INTIMIDATED is key. They do not even need to worry about damage, they are there purely to keep the krayt off the Commando and/or Rifleman. The commando just needs to keep hitting the Krayt with different flame thrower attacks and keep it burning. Also, having a Rifleman can really help too, just keep hitting it with Strafe2. However, Rifleman tend to draw agro so it is important to have the tanks keep the Krayt taunted to protect the ranged fighters.
With one tank, a 0040 Commando and a Rifleman an Ancient can be done in 12-15 minutes, 18-20 minutes without the Rifleman. Just make sure your tank stays on his/her feet lol.

I routinly kill anything other than anchients with just 2 people, a TKM with pharm 4 and me (master commando) TKm keeps the krayts attention, I stack dots. here is a key, use 3 FAST flamethowers. Use one flamethrower, apply the 4 dots switch flamers, apply dots, use third flamer apply dots,then go back to first one. that way you can get up to 12 different flame dots on the thing, it usually only amounts to 9-10 per cycle, because sometimes the dot does not stick.
For anchients, I find a 4 man group worls best, 2 tkms both with good medic, a SL and a master commando. The Sl sole job is to undizzy his troops, that means he needs to stary at least 50m from the krayt, because he can't form up, if he is dizzy himself.

canyons - approx 10-12 minutes
giants - approx 14-16 minutes
macro's used:
/melee2hheadhit3;
/macro 2hhead;
/intimidate;
/intimidate:
/pause 15;
/macro int
thats it...taunt krayt...hit macro buttons...minimize swg, surf web...fix a sammich...
I did run both toons today, followed my swordsman around and ran a /flamesingle2 macro...figured i may as well get some use out of my commando toon...which btw, is going thru template change....
