I have never tried Pistoleer or Smuggler, but it's obvious that you'll be certified with practically every pistol in the game except for the Bounty Hunters' Scatter Pistol. But you have the DX-2, so Acid is covered. Templates like this are fairly numerous in the Commando community that wishes to excel with pistols. It'll work, and I wouldn't mind giving this type of template a whirl later on.

You have Feign Death which can work great in higher end PvE.

You'll do great with your Launcher Pistol finally. If you're a Rebel, you should do AT-STs very well.

The only faults I can find:

Damage output. Pistols just really don't do it compared to some other professions, i.e. Rifleman. But since you've been around a while you know how to play the damage type/resists/vulnerabilities game.

Melee attackers can present a problem.

Your defenses will be bad, but hey... we're Master Commandos. That goes without saying!

Like I said, it'll work. I did something similiar by dabbling Master Commando with BH Carbines and Carbineer. Just as long as you have fun with your character's template.
