I prefer to go to Talus Imperial Outpost, and hunt ATSTs. I always go covert (call me a coward, but youre gonna lose your overt status after you die, anyways), and I hit the ATST with my first shot while still covert, I may die, or may not, depending on how well my burst run and stimBs help me get away, but I can outrun them if I can get from 17m to 65m quickly enough. Or just use LOS to your advantage. It will take you 2-3 flamesingle2s but they will go down, and if you die, oh well, you can always come right back and flame them again after theyve stopped burning. I can usually solo the entire outpost with my flamethrower in about 30 mins, and rack up about 350FP. If you havent been there yet, there are about 30 NPCs and 2 ATST. It only really gets tricky if a PC Imp takes a pot shot at you, while youre killing all the STs in the outpost. In which case, you have TEF on him, and can camp him afterwords. I love being a commando!!! Just a note, I dont get xp from the STs, but get 3k from the ATSTs.. I m not sure if this is because I go covert, but I have just been enjoying killing the whole base and walking away with some nice FP.

that is a interesting strategy and i admitt ive used it myself wen i solo at sts knowin i will die i burn and die run back and repeat till it dies. however i find this ineffective and i think this part. beam strategy mighht be useful or worth a try, because with flame single like u asid u could try runnin away but u have to be at 16 m with flame with the part. beam u can shoot from 50 m and run so its a diff. strategy

i keep reading how commandos do wicked dam. to at st's with rl's and flamers but i think i found an easier way. i mean right now rl's r wicked rare, i havent found a single person who makes them on lowca, and the faction ones SUCK. and ppl say flame specials own at st's but frankly i have used some on at sts and the da. sucks and the only thing remotely ok is burn dam. but its slow. so heres a new strategy for ppl who cant get a rl and cant seem to kill at st's with flame. get heavy support weapons 1 and get part. beams. no one seems to use them but think about they have heavy armor piercing and do rlly great dam. i used some today on at st's and i did at lowest min. 4k dam and highest was 5700. now ppl might say i can get that with flame single 2 and i burn, but u have to remember who have to have a rlly good flamer to do dam. like that and usin a flasme special takes like 7-10 sec. now i use a part. beamd and it takes like 4 sec. thats a good tradeoff 4k dam. every 4 sec. post ur thoughts, plz no flamin me (u can use acid single tho haha ..er nm)

Always wondered why no one used the PBC. Good to see someone who found a tactic with another weapon other then Rocket Launcher or Flamethrower. I will give that bad boy a try tonight and see what I can get from it.
