Thread: Side Jobs with Commando
What is a good side profession with Commando I am currentlya Master Marksman, Master Scout and
2 1 2 3 into Medic I been hearing that Ch is really nice with Commando, would a master commando be able to tame and use rancor? i wouldsurrender points if i need too, i was thinking of going 4 3 1 0 into CH would that let me be able to use high lvl pets? and again what professions have someof you picked? and what you recommend it to another commando?

Forget the Rancor, Graul Maulers are better. As a Commando, it's fae easier (and cheaper on the SP) to go CH 3-2-0-0 and buy the Mauler pre-trained from a master. CH 1-1-0-0, however, is cheaper still and affords a Greater Sludge Panther - they're pretty **edit** good against most of the larger creatures out there - they can last long enough for you to take the critter out. They won't be any use against the biggest stuff out there, though - they simply don't have the HAM or the armor for it.

If you go Master Commando you'll have 81 skill points left over to spend on other professions. If you want to be able to use a Graul Mauler which is currently the best tank pet that I know of, 9k H/A/M, 75% kinetic Resist, Light armor) you can go 3,2,0,0 in CH and buy it from other players. If you only go 2,2,0,0 you can get the regulare Graul which is still quite a nice pet, they have 7k H/A/M?, light armor, and around 50% kinetic resist if I remember correctly.
If you go 3,2,0,0 in CH you'll have 11 points left over which doesn't go very far. With the remaining 11 points you could get Novice smuggerl and Dirty Fighting 1, or novice pistoleer and one of the level 1 boxes.
But if you wanted to have some medic skills aswell you could go Master Commando, Novice Medic, and 1,1,0,0 in CH though that would give a weaker pet but still a decent tank, and leave you with 7 points left over.
Here's a helpfull tool which you can use to experiment with the setup you want.
