Was wondering what types of damage they do. Guessing blast damage.

Wondering what the damage min and max is on them.

What are the current issues with them? Are they working good enough to be viable in PvP?

Also, what pool do they damage? Guessing all of them.

Depends on the grenade. Cryo's do cold and glops do acid. Imperial detonators do heat. Your standard c-22's do blast.

That is dependant on the skill and dedication of the weapon smith that makes them. I purchased 2 crates of grenades a few weeks ago form 2 different weaponsmiths. The c-22's come at a lower cert then the glops, but my c-22's do 300+ more damage. Find a good weaponsmith, start a good relationship with them and buy the best.

Grenades are one of only two options that give commandos armor piercing, (the others are expendable weapons... rocket launchers, ect.) As for current issues... they arent broken, per say. They are a bit slow, they do have some harsh penalties to hit outside of 10 meters, and they do take a bit of HAM to use. However, if you buy good grenades, and hit, people die. I use grenades to soften up Composite armor oponents, or get the final large hit in after DoTing them with the flamer.

Your bank account will limit your use of explosives much more then their effectivness. I have to remember that each throw costs me credits, or I would chuck them much more readily.

Random pool, just like all of our weapons.

That difference didn't come about because a weaponsmith who made the cryos might not have been as good as the one who made the C22's. My c22's are around 1400+ on the max dmg and my cryos only do about 755, but then again, cryos do Cold damage (as you stated) and I don't think armors are as effective against that type are they are with Blast. I may be wrong though.

Cero - you've bought from me in the past, right? If so, I think I sold you those cryobans. My new ones are almost 100 Dmg better now since a good radioactive shifted in.

Nope, Chong, you sold me the C-22's.

I should have been more clear with my response... grenades obviously also have different max and min damage depending on the type, but it is also effected by the materials the weaponsmith used.

Thanks Chong for clearing it up and reminding me.

Imperial Detonators are either broken or something was wacked as when I made one the timer was 400 seconds.

Thermal Detonators are blast damage like the C22s, but are medium AP. I've stuck a couple of experimentation points into ranged, to make the ideal range a bit further out, as I've had reports of people incapacitating themselves from throwing at the ideal range and being caught in the blast radius.

Grenades are area effect weapons and you can hurt yourself using them if too close. So yes they do cone damage kind of. The area effect is centered on where the grenade goes off.

I had my Imp Detonators much lower. I don't remember exactly, but it was well below 60 seconds for sure.
