Don't know if it's true or not, but if it is, it would be for PvP only..which I have to agree with

-shrugs- I heard the wounds might be removed. But if they remove our fire DOT then they had better remove the BH's aswell!

You guys keep reading the post written by the long winded guy you think is an idiot.

The long winded idiot is going to play the game now. Enjoy.

Well since the Dev's haven't said anything in any posts at since friday, and even then it had nothing to do with saying they might remove burn or wounds. I highly doubt your hearing rumors even remotely close to factual.

Ignore hearsay and check the devtracker. If it's not in there it's not happening.

/agrees with Koitsu

The devs have said nothing about removing the Dot, removing wounds, etc. They said that the fire dot "might" be too powerful, but that in general , the damage commandos are doing is "appropriate".

They might tone it done but remove it? Unlikely.

Maybe reduce the wound rate or the time it lasts

The dot and damage should stay as is, I wouldn't have a problem with a serious nerf to the wounds in pvp. Wounds shouldn't stack up that fast in PVP imo because that's what causes the battle to end, ie, no more fun for anyone if everyone is wounded to the Nth degree

Ya, personally I'd like to see the wounds decreased or removed, but the dammage seems fine to me.

And btw, is it a bug that no matter where you hit with a FT specal thatthe DOTeffects health or is that meant to be, like health shot, actoin shot, and mind shot?

I don't think itsa bug but rather part of the balance to the overall power of such a weapon.

For example when ever I hit the health bar on initial damage its a huge boost compared to doing initial damage to action or mind, then having to wait for the entire burn dot to go through the health pool.

I think its meant to add a degree of chance to the overall power of the weapon.

totally rumor, the only thing they will/may change is that 2.5X modifer on melee to 2X

if they took away burn, they take away two specials (flame cone) + an advantage to us in damage (we miss so much, we should be able to do a dot since we dont get any other state effects, Kds, etc)

Without wounds the fights over when one side says "thats it, I'm bored." or "look at the time, I got to get to bed" Wounds are an essential part of PvP combat because it enforces downtime and it insures that the other side has some capability to look after wounded. It does not take long for a good doctor to clear a large number of wounds.

If you are serious about PvP and would like to see large numbers fighting on both sides, you also need to have some method to insure that when people get taken out it means something. In this game it is done with wounds.

My advice is don't sweat it. The Devs have said nothing about it, in fact, they seem very happy with the state of affairs with the Commando classat the moment. Even if they do decide to adjust the class again it is all about learning and adapting to the given situations you face. No one is just one class anyway (anyway if they have any sense) you just pick upa new skill from another class to compensate. It is all about how you play the game.
