Forgive me for this question.

I have surrendered master ch, all the way to novice ch so i cannow train commando. So far, i am 3/0/2/0 commando and master pistoleer. I want to keep master pistoleer and want to become master commando but i'm leary of surrendering my exploration tree of scout. So here is the question.

If i master commando along with pistoleer, i will not have any exploration skills and will walk very slowly up hills, correct?

If you drop the exploration branch, you will walk very slowly up hills yes. The only other skill boxes where you get +terrain negotiation is in high level combat medic and in squad leader.

I don't have any terrain negotiation skills anymore but I haven't found it to be as big a problem as I thought as long as I keep my mount out. It's kinda my running joke that as master TKA and master Commando that I can kill whatever you want ingame Jedi, Kimo, Droideka's.. just don't ask me to climb a hill please.

As soon as they get vehicles you probably wont have to worry to much about Terrian negotiation....And mounts will be history unless they want ridiculous amounts of money for vehicles.

Well you could do 1 of 2 things:

Get a BE shirt with +terrain negotiation

Or

Get Exploration 1

(I beleive with master commando/Master TKA you have 17 points left which is just enough for novice scout and explore1)

I've learned more about terrain negotiation since I dropped scout then I ever learned as a scout. LOL..

For instance the fastest way to go up a hill is to "zig-zag" up it

When fighting in groups, have a mounty carry you wherever you go.

lol, zig-zag.

The only time I find it frustrating is when a lair or mission is on a hill. I actually think they should add some terrain negotiation to the commandos "Field Tactic" tree. Maybe not as much as scouts, but enough to makes us faster than a box of hair when going up hills.

BE can do terrian negociation now?

Last I checked, you can get Terrain Neg. tapes, but BE's had the scent/taming thingies...

But I was told that point is moot... if you don't have the actual skill, you get no effect from any bonuses you'd incurr from gear...

Lairs on hills.....grrr... I hate them... sometimes I just as soon delete them than bother with them.
