As he mentioned - slicing does indeed work. And as for your question - sure. Depending on the grenade. I wouldn't power-up a C12. But figure that a Proton is easily over 3k damage. Adda 33% max dmg onto that bad boy and you're over 4k now. I'd say it's worth it.

You can also get bonuses to min dmg, speed, wound % and blast radius. Just look for the combo you'd like to see most on your grenade.

For instance, a Blast Radius increase of 33% on a 2m radius glop is WORTHLESS. But add 33% to 1700+ max dmg and now you're talking. Or make speed a factor. Just make sure you're buffed so you don't incap yourself from throwing these monsters.
