in the movies when leia has a thermal detonator.... they act like it's gonna tear jabbas palace down. in game though, they hardly touch things.

It's not because they fear it will blow up the place...they just don't want "leia"bits all over them and the nice clean walls...they know the grenade has a unique way of blowing up the user....

Its even worse when you realize she wasn't certified to use it.

It's probably because there's different types of thermal detonators in Star Wars fiction. In SWG, I believe we use the Imperial thermal detonator (correct me if I'm wrong), which would be much weaker than the one Leia had in the movies.

But she still wouldn't be certified (which was the first thing I thought of at the begining of the post, and I am glad to see someone else thought that way.)

Not sure what the stats where on her Thermal but I know my sliced/power-uped Thermals hit for over 3k AP2 Balst in a 5m radius.

Not enough to bring the palace down maybe, but it'd be a bit rough on the decor and the dancing girls.

Read the book "Shadows of the Empire", takes place right before ROTJ. Lando destroyed Xizor's (leader of Black Sun) entire castle with one thermal detonator identical to the one Leia had. Described as a small thermonuclear device. That would be sweet in SWG, could take out an entire lag spot (like Theed) with one detonator . People might cry NERF though.
