Thread: TK or Pistoleer?

What will do best aside the master Commando profession?
1. Terakasi master
2. Pistoleer master
Tera kasi gives us the melee defense we need without that we would die to easy in cqb. and dont forget about the knockdown 2 that makes us kill a stormie in two moves.
Pistoleer gives us accualy skills with the launcher pistol (Blast dam) that we were meant to have.
Two things there should be in our skills now. So guys iam asking you what is the best choise???
Are there any other profession that would be better to combine Master Commando with?

Depends on your mindset. If you want offensive punch for your LP and better defenses against KD, dizzy, etc. then Pistoleer has it. The 3rd tree for Pistoleer has good numbers for status defenses.
I prefer TKM, which I'm working on currently towards along with Master Commando. I like TKM because you get meditate & power boost, kind of like having a bit of medic/doctor in within the profession, though without in-battle heals by itself. Also it has decent defensive stats. The drawback currently is it's completely reliant on Kinetic Damage. Also, TKM at least doesn't make you a pushover in hand-to-hand combat.

I wish there was an Edit function on this blasted board... anyways, in regards to the Dodge skill for Pistoleer, to use it you need to have a pistol or 1-handed melee weapon equipped (Fencer). Having a FT equipped won't allow you to use the Dodge skill. Something to ponder.

This might not be the absolute best combo as far as close quarter combat is concerned but i'm going for Master Commando, Master Smuggler and Pistol Tech 2 (for the Geonosian Blaster Cert). I can't wait to try out last ditch assault with my Launcher Pistol. Plus, i can slice my own weapons which will save a fortune if you plan on slicing the heavy weapons (Rocket Launcher's, etc.) and Thrown Weapons.
Just food for thought.
