I put away all my commando equipment and used my mediocre pistoleer skills. I am kinda depressed by this. I was really enjoying being a commando, thinking its the greatest profession ever, and now i see why you are all pretty disappointed with some of our abilities. I knew my flamer wouldn't cut it on the rancors so i shelved that and pulled out the HAR figuring it'd make a bit of a dent. Well, it WAS making a dent, but not a big enough dent and it was random pools without the dot. Shelved that and busted out my awesome geoblaster (170-302 2.5) and killed all the rancors with health shot 2. I killed an ENTIRE enraged rancor lair with NOVICE pistoleer (well, 0030 but i was using novice pistoleer skills)because my MASTER commando wasn't cutting it. I now see there is something a little messed up here.

I still think the flamer is the greatest weapon around though.

i still take rancors with flamer... don't forget our dot's.... when i stick on all 4 the rancors have no chance.. onlt the bulls worry me, be the normal bulls with there 300+ dieases DoT's or the enranged Bull's with there dizzy+KD in one hit

I should say i'm using a Damage sliced flamer with 1136 max 5.2... and remeber that the dot's are easly over 3k HAM each burn by the time you got all four on... and so by the time you got the 4th on the rancor is dead... i usally stick on 3 (FS2 FC2 FS1) then move to th next... but the time i stick the 2nd dot on to the next rancor the first has ran away 10m in vain, as the dot got him

LOOK i know we are not looked after... but we must make do with what we do have... and if there is one thing left... that is PVE so save your flamer for PVE atleast and keep the commandos alive!!!

DX2 > Rancor

I miss the days when I could apply flamesingle2 and flamecone2, then feign death and watch it just burn to the ground. You know, back in the day when being set on fire was actually seen as being a bad thing rather than a minor nuiscence.
