Hi, can someone tell me where to find grenades? I have asked on the auction channel and planet and looked all over the map - loads and loads of C12, but I want C22 , Imp Det , Cryoban etc.

Also if someone can give me an idea of what I should be paying on FarStar for these grenades (saw 1 crate of Imp Detonators for 200k - is that normal?)

Higher-end Grenades are hard for Weapons Smith to make, it take a long time and a number of factoriesto make, So they rarely make them and put them on therir vendors. I'ld suggest finding a Master Weapons Smith and ask him to make some for you. If he's not will to, ask him if he knows someone who will.

For most weaponsmiths too...if you get custom made gernades (or at least request em to be made), expect to pay considerable...

One of the best weaponsmiths on Chilastra, charges 11k PER STACK for custom made protons...C22's at least are fairly good in pricing...but the higher end stuff will kill you with some weaponsmiths.

Another good idea is to ask on your server's Trade Forums, and bump it every 6-12 hours (if you can) for a couple days.

I doin't normally take orders for grenades, as I prefer just to make them at my own pace.

Someone recently asked me for 30 crates of Imperial Detonators.

They placed the order on the 1st of this month. I started immediately. I have 3 factories.

The order will be ready for pickup on the 9th of this month.

Granted, I had a minor delay for some parts.

At best, Imperial Detonators (and Thermals) will take 6-7 days for 30 crates, start to finish, with 3 factories running.

Protons, longer again (you'll need 4 factories to keep the time to a minimum).

Just something to bear in mind.

Brilyn is our resident commando weaponsmit. Listen to his advice on how to make/ask someone to make weapons for the commando and you will do well. In fact, I kind of wish that he would write down all of his experiences with commando weapons and make a guide out of it and post it on the weaponsmith and/or commando forums.

They're hitting the bottom of page 2/top of page 3 on this forum. I bump them roughly 3-4 weeks after the last comment on them, mainly as I don't wish to be a nuisance, but I think the info is useful to new Commandos.

The way I see it, most weaponsmiths interested in Commando weaponry come to this forum for info. That's one of the reasons I came here myself.

I'd post them on the WS forum, but most WS's are either:

uninterested in making Commando weapons (mostly grenades)

know the info already

would miss the info in the frequent Trade posts we get.

I think I posted the links to the articles here a couple months ago.

Personally, I think more Commandos need the info I have than Weaponsmiths. Because *all* you guys use these weapons, but only some Weaponsmiths make them.
