does it ever acctually light stuff on FIRE!!!!!!? o and if u go prone with it...it misses alot less. somthing else wierd i went from standing to prone and my accuracy number thing went from -23 to -50 but hits more...doesent prone make things more accurate. apparently the problem with theflamthrower is that the ideal range formula is backwards ofwhat it was meant ot be...thats my guess but i dont know for sure. looks cool though just got it for 1 hour or so.

No, kneeling at 40 meters away, or was it 30, I forgot, is extremely accurate compared to other poisitons.

Actually... you do light stuff on fire. You just need to get Flamethrower Specialization 1 and start using Flame Single (and I presume all the other specials). It causes a sort of bleed (albeit fairly weak one from what I hear) that is supposed to be fire... kind of interesting.

i really hope that when we can actually light stuff on fire, the damage will be either constant and small, or in intervals and huge.....like 400 damage or so huge...I like the fact that my flamethower does 200 MAX damage if it hits.....
1) My laser carbine hits for more
2) Every single gun I own or have owned beats any flamethrower I've seen in firing speed.
3) My accuracy blows for all commando weapons. Master Marksman my arse! ![]()

Like I said... it does light stuff on fire, and the damage does seem to be fairly small and more rapid than bleeds. The max damage on flame throwers is actually a bit more than 200, depending on who you got it from. I've hit up to 500 without specials, but average around 350. After specials (supposedly in this next patch) the damage is supposed to be a lot more than that, making up tremendously for the slow fire rate. As for the accuracy... I'll be the first to admit I got my ass kicked by a lot of low level beast (darn butterflies) but if you stick to doing simple things like Crazed Durni on corellia (slow and good xp relatively speaking), they take only 2 hits to kill usually and give 300 xp a kill so the accuracy isn't much of an issue. Once you get flame 1 I think you'll find the accuracy improves a lot. It's just a matter of patience.

A class such as this should not have to resort to such tactics to gain XP. This is rediculous.
