Commando Archive

I take most of you guys played video games far longer before swg came out and became such a big disappointment. As a clear example, those of you who played Diablo II or Hf - Counterstrike should know better than hope day by day on this stupid patch. Main example, Blizzard the makers of diablo, have said for the past ah... 8 months or so that hey! the new patch is coming out, full of awesome stuff, and we're testing it as we speak, but we all know the truth, they rather work on other new projects such as starcraft 3 which of course brings them more money, and has have several patches out for. Another example, Sega who came out boasting it's big bad boy dreamcast, and suddenly dropped it, stopped making games pretty much, left the loyal customers in the air and pretty much said f..k you for believing in us. So to all my commandos out there, what makes u think soe is gonna be any different? I'll go as far as saying that i'm 80% sure that if a patch comes out while my grandkids are still alive (im 23) it's not gonna have any commando content. C'mon why is soe in business? to please customers? or to make money as easy as possible?

I haven't played a video game since Colecovision was in vogue, however I know enough about computers to understand its a dymanic process and things never work out the first go around. In a game as complicated as this one is I'm not suprised in the least that there are major malfuctions. I expected it.

My only real complaint is the lack of Sony's communication with the public. I help run a community based website that also sells a product and although we're not nearly as big as this(we get 4-5 million pageviews a month) we're always upfront and acknowedge any issue to keep the customers happy andinformed that we hear them. More often than not, a simple acknowledgement is all they really want to hear, even if the solution doesn't come within their time frame, or even the way they wanted to see it handled.
