I've been loving the new title threads. Some of the comedy is classic. I've had to clean my monitor twice now after drinking soda while reading them.

But in all seriousness, what is the common desire for titles?

We know the format that of the 4 trees, one will be Expert Commando. So that leaves 3 names to improve upon.

This is a compilation of what's been suggested so far

Field Tactics: Grenadier
- Sapper
- Shock Trooper
- Military Tactician
- Forward Observer
- Combat Veteran
- Commander
- Tactician / Combat Tactician
- Grenade Allocation Expert
- Field Commando

Heavy Weapons Support: Expert Commando
- Artileryman
- Demolition Man
- Combustive Munitions Expert
- Explosion Exporter
- Demolitions Expert / Demolitionist
- Gunner
- Marine
- Trooper
- Warmonger

Flamethrower Speciality:
- Incendiary Specalist / Incendiary Support Specialist
- Pyrobat
- Pyrotechnician / Pyrotechnic
- Heat Dispersion Master
- Dragon
- Incendiary Guerilla
- Firebat
- Pyromaniac
- Arsonist

Acid Rifle:
- Corrosives Specialist
- Corrosive Chemicals Combatant
- Chemical Soldier
- Biological Warrior
- Chemical Spray Enthusiast
- Chemical Warfare Trooper

My choices are driven by the desire for cool but military sounding names that are broad enough to cover future weapon certs and weapon types as they are added

I like Sapper and Shocker trooper for Field Tactics. I'd also suggest Combat Engineer or the seemingly required Expert Commando for this line (since it takes combat exp). Demolitions Expert seems better suited to this line also since it deals with grenades and bombs. In order of preference... Expert Commando, Demolitions Expert, Combat Engineer.

For Heavy Support, I think Gunner and Artilleryman are the best choices in that order.

For Flamethrower, I think Pyrotechnician and Incendiary Specialistare the best choices in that order.

For Acid Rifle, I think something more generic like Heavy Rifle Expert might be best, since it's the logical place if they ever fix and add the Beam Rifle, for example.

Shocktrooper

Marine

Incendiary Specialist

Corrosive Weapons Specialist

These names all sound professional and elite, and as any commando should be, intimidating. Let's not move for a name from annotherseries because the characters were cool. The name should be an accurate depiction of a otherwise Historical or Modern warfare title used to best depict what we do. If I become a commanding officer, I wan't to know what each soldier does so that he may be put to best use. You don't know how many times I get asked "What's an artilleryman?" "What class is your name in" and get told "Dude thats such a sweet name!".

Anyhow, best of luck getting this movement through, you have my (non-firebat) support

My response is for PvP gamers only.

Assuming our weapons really do extensive damage I think its crazy to put a target, err I mean title above our names that tells people this. I know when I'm in battle and I see someone with medic, doctor or anything like that I kill them first, always. There is nothing worse than being in a long battle wtih someone in PVP and its down to the final straw and some medic runs up and heals the opposition.

The other day I was running between bestine and anchorhead and found a investigator(that means carbine BH) who was killing rebel NPCs, probably to get himself enough faction to buy a ATST. So I knocked him down(since I knew he had a KD that was even better), then sent him back to the cloning facility

For any imp medic that might read this, I was just kidding, I really don't go after medics first because that's just wrong. Keep those titles coming!

Predator, Terminator, Running Man, Kindergarden Cop

Arnold for governor! Bring back Jessie the Body in Minnesota and get Carl Weathers governor of some other state!

I'd have to say...

Field Tactics:- Field Commando or Grenade Expert (both simple and easy to understand)

(Combat Veteran sounds like you're retired.)

Heavy Weapons Support: -Expert Commando orDemolition Man orDemolitions Expert / Demolitionist (Demolition is cool.)

Flamethrower Speciality:-Pyrotechnician / Pyrotechnic

(Pyromaniac andArsonist sounds too much like a criminal)

Acid Rifle:- Corrosives Specialist

Personally I have narrowed it down to these:

Shock Trooper or Combat Tactician

Demolitionist

Incendiary Specialist or Arsonist

Chemical Warfare Trooper or Chemical Soldier

Think those titles are a bit more flattering, but than again I would keep the titles we have now if it meant they would finally give us "The Patch" ! ^_^

Field Tactics: Grenadier

Heavy Weapons: Artilleryman (it IS the line with all the cannons in it after all...)

Flamethrower: Pyrobat / Firebat

Acid Rifle: Expert Commando

Just a little rearranging and removal of the Horrible-est one... ( dare not write it's name)
