Get yourself a good pistol, a good carbine and a good rifle.

Find a spawn of constant newbie mobs (like just outside the city limits, Mos Espa is pretty cool for this).

Equip your pistol... start shooting everything that moves (don't forget to harvest if you have scout skills). After a few hours you should get to pistols IV (go cure BF and wounds when they get a bit high).

Then equip your carbine and repeat......

Then equip your rifle and repeat......

There are faster ways but they are a little exotic. This is a sure fire route to getting master marksman in a day, it's boring, it's not much fun but it gets the job done.

Also look out for new weapon certifications, once you can use a scout blaster (Pistols II I think), a laser carbine (Carbine III?) and a laser rifle (Rifle III?) things get a lot quicker.

Remember to get some droid or pet to group with and leave it in the city you are hunting around. You get a 25% bonus on xp. It eats into whatever you're harvesting, but if your primary concern is grinding out xp that is no big deal.
