Hi. The guides are good. But, there I'm having a difficult time finding post-CU info in the stickys.
I'd appreciate any advice on Grinding Commando. My son has a character that is a 19 CR. Where/what are the best places/things to grind, at different levels? Right now, for a Level 19. Most of the stuff he is finding is either: way lower, or too high. Also, it would be nice to have more info, asone increases in CR.
Thanks!

If you're looking for perfect-leveled mobs for you, take some missions from the terminals. They're usually within 3 levels of you, plus you can make a bit of cash while you're at it. Also, as you increase in levels, the missions that you can pull from the terminals increase in levels as well.
I suggest sticking to creature missions (as opposed to NPC missions) because they won't use specials (likeOvercharge Shot, Fan Shot, etc.)against you.

one thing to keep in mind is that the mission terminals in the starter cities will not give missions beyond lvl 15. One thing would be to find a player city with a mission terminal to grind from. This is also a neat way to find and meet other players. The best way to level it so go to one of the "Hot Spots" for groups (Mining Outpost on Dantooine, or Nym's Stronghold on Lok are two popular ones across many servers) and get in a group. Good luck with Commando and managing that AOE along with fubar weapons to grind with. /shrug It's still a lot of fun though in the end.

Hey man, usually go to Lok...and then get up with a gurk group...make sure he hits every gurk that is being engaged...usually they accept 1 lower level guy in the group...XP will flow

also i'd suggest when possible sticking to low AOE weapons. ones with round 6m blast radius usualy wont draw -too- many agros onto you. It also helps to have a secondary profession if only to use a non AOE weapon to pull a single mob over to you. Then switch to your commando weapons and blaze away (At a safe distance from other NPCs).

Changing soon...very soon...
Hopefully...
Soon (tm)...
Ill have that guide up before they fix our AoE I can tell you that, been waiting for it since thats such a big part of our profession (and you really have to master the art of weapon control) and twice it seems we almost got it fixed before it broke again...

Do it with good friends that don't mind the aggro you will be pulling...
..or with total strangers is you want to be sure to keep your friends. ![]()

get the Corellian Destroyer, low radius, beam weapon, certed for novice Commando .......it's a loot weapon though so they may be harder to find, i had to pay 100k for one.
