as title.
My guild WS and I have been experimenting with flamers for the past few weeks. We've made around 5 decent (sub 3.0 speed) flamers, and LOTs of ones which got a damage slice (3.1speed, 500-1150 anyone?)...
anyway - the flamer in the title is, in my view, the best to date.
Is it good enough to use an ADK on it? - OR - would you suggest waiting until the CURB?
thoughts would be appreciated
cheers....

I have 1 ADK on my 3.2 1216 max flamer and a second ADK waiting on a sub 2.0 flamer im trying to get built...slice gods hate me lately.. and if i get it built before the CURB ill ADK it, if i see something better i can always delete the gun and get the ADK back.
now to answer your question you have to ask your self how often are you going to get that identical 5 tissues and the imp stock before the CURB? Also knowing that your going to ADK the gun might have the WS put the extra points from condition into ham or range perhaps?
ATM i hunt nightly for tissues and score about 40 a night and i dont walk out with many that are for speed in sets of 5, but when i get that magic set i take them in pay for the stock and tell the WS forget condition cause its getting ADK and pray from there that the slice is 30%+ speed

I am tempted to put my ADK on my 1.8 speed 950 max..... but i dont want to have to destroy it ifI get a better weapon
I might put it on it if it gets damaged to the point of loosing some damage and speed, then the ADK will repair it and no harm no foul.

I would put an ADK on it. I did on mine. Ever spam overcharge shot 2 with a fast high damage FT. Pretty sweet. Plus it is really nice to use when targets move out of 16m. Add to the fast that overcharge shot2 looks so sweet with a FT, three fireballs heading to one target then exploding.

It's a fine Flamethrower due to the speed.
Would I put a precious ADK on it? Not me. Maybe if the damage was well into the 1.1-1.2k range and near 2.0 speed. And that's a big maybe.
The thing is, Flamethrowers last very long. Our specials have big delays so we don't chew through them compared to a Speed-capped BH/Carbineer with their Carbines (and do they go through them fast!).
You're better off putting an ADK kit in something else much more valuable who's condition goes down very quickly from your use.

Unless you have something better to put an adk on, why not? I don't see the source of hesitation. If you adk it, you get to use it, and use it pretty much non stop. If you don't, you'll either 1, hesitate to use this fine weapon, and miss the fun that comes with that, or 2, burn it out in no time and then have to worry about a repair attempt.
My advice- use the adk, go out and kill some high end stuff in record times with a super nice weapon that deserves to be used and enjoyed, then sell off the loot you get for another adk so you won't have to give this another thought.

My opinion... wait until the CURB. The gun's condition will probably still be pretty high whent he CURB goes live. Plus, this way if you come across another weapon, you'll still be able to to use your old one because you won't have to delete it.
P.S. its always nice to have two fast flamers for the flame stacking =)

I wouldnt do anything until after the CU...thats my opinion
I would agree....
Its always good to wait to see your options expanded more-so (hopefully...) than taking the plunge before hand.
And this...has been somewhat of an interest of mine recently, which prompted me to grind up Master Weaponsmith on my Valcyn alt-finished it last night...and am all set figuring weapon (and commando weapon) crafting out for the current system, and later on how the CU impacts weapons (especially for us)...
