This is my understanding the current status on Factional armor... If I am wrong anywhere, someone please correct me, but :
1) Factional armor schems are purchased from recruiters by armorsmiths (only anAS may purchase the schematic)
2)The schem will cost about half what it does to purchase a set on live, but when the armor is setup with armor cores, there may be another cost involved when the armor is bio-linked to it's new owner (have heard rumors that is also around half of the price of armor)
3) Once bio-linked the armor is only usable by that person
4) The armorsmith cores is what will set the stats of the armor

Also, it seems that you really can't wear armor over the implants...and they take full damage if struck.
A number of people in my guild were testing them today and got rid of them because targeted shots were doing 900+ damage to them in PvP. Still the implants will be good to TKAs and Jedi.

900 damage? Even on mobs of same level?
Thats definately a bug if I ever did see one.
