i was really confused on the test centre maybe ive proppa noob'd it but i dunno.
as i logged on i checked out commando on my character i was 4/4/4/3 commando i checked that i couldnt use my FT till master but i could see no specails or any weapon certs so i couldnt use it for anything. only the extra mods for my TK
is this normal? is this what commando has been reduced to?

you REALLY need to read some of the threads going in here before asking these questions.
Your old flame thrower is now a Plasma Flame thrower, certed at MASTER. There is another flamethrower you get certed for ealier.
Commando doesn't get any special attacks because the specials are built into the weapons. You use other professions attacks with your HW and the built in effects of the weapons stack on top. For instance, I can use my kneecapshot from rifleman with my flamethrower whic becomes an AOE slow that also adds a fire DOT.
The certs aren't listed, but that is a bug. All of our weapons require certs, and some of the higher end weapons from other professions require certs, but a good majority don't require actual certs- just a high enough combat level.
All this can be found in much more detail in the various threads running in this board.
