Thread: Big pvp nerf occured with this new patch.....
I was on Talus working on some tera kasi XP and got bored and decided to head back to the imp outpost and beat up on some storm troopers.
Anyway, some PC imp comes up behind me(tef) and flames me for over 1500 dmg, but "I evaded it", so I didn't take initial damage but the dot was still in effect. I turned on him and shot back with my flame thrower and hit for a measily 249 points with flame single 2.
Yeah, no doubt, something is messed up. If the damage is that low, nobody will ever die without getting caught offguard.
It would seem to me if something was evaded, there would be no dot fwiw.
it happened. not to just us, but to everyone. seems that damage in pvp has been reduced by another 75%. after reading the BH boards and hearing them complain about their LLC specials hitting for 300 damage, and eyeshot hitting for 50-75 damage, i decided to do some testing.
the results:
regular shots with a launcher pistol: 40-45 damage (weapon stats: 68-428 damage)
acidsingle2: 300-350 damage (weapon stats: XXX-782 damage) (forgot minimum damage)
flamesingle2: 350-400 damage (XXX-1003 damage) (again, forgot minimum damage)
this is a far cry from the 1100-1400 damage i used to do with the HAR and FT specials. i did notice that the flame DOT's are pretty much the same. the wounds seem lower, but the damage the DOT does seems the same. my friend wasn't paying attention to the damage taken away with the DOT's, so i'm not too sure on how much damage they were doing, but from what i was seeing on his health bar, it was the same (minus the wounds).
so now doctors and medics will have an even bigger advantage in battle, as well as the mind bleeders and poisoners.
If your a Tera Kasi you should have just punched him because we now take massive amounts of damage at melee range and I think I'm even taking more damage when in a gunfight with NPC (not real sure about this though?).
I'm not sure if that's true or not, but I'm a reallly low level tera kasi right now. Talus is about my speed.
