Has this been mentioned at all before? Cause I'm thinkin if your armor gets doused in corrosive acid it's not gonna work as well...

That kind of makes sense. That is, if your talking years later, and a continous stream of acid.

Its an idea that has been toyed around with before. In fact heh, I dug up an old revamp-esque post on the Corr forums concerning adding innate armour break (where half our weapons would power up with a spray-damage, AoE, while the other half would power up with the ability to do more damage through an armour-break, but no AoE)
Since we never got a response for this, I don't think the idea went too well with the devs in the balancing department...

I think'd be neat... add some incentive to use the acid weapons
