Like many, I was all about the CU until I experienced it.
Fed up with the horse excrement from SOE, I canceled my account and never looked back until a couple of days ago, one of my old friends offered to re-activate my account for me to come back. I told him not to, but he did anyway so I figured I would at least stop in and say hi on the old Commando Forums.
Soooooo, what's been up?
We still a one (useful) trick pony?
...still forced to roleplay our AOE because it doesn't actually happen?
...still have no feasable damage dealing ability of our own?
...still playing "who's specials drain less action?"
...still playing "match the colors - now with new super-duper particle effects!" instead of the unique and immersive (if mechanically flawed) game we used to have?
How is the commando profession? I refuse to spend hours reinstalling and downloading patches just to find out I still hate the game, but since you guys were always the coolest folks on the forum, I'll trust in your reports.

The only real change for us since those first days after the CU is that Proton Rifles work, finally. It took them til Publish 19 to fix them, but they work.
That's pretty much it. ![]()

But the older proton rifles looted either work and have an AoE or don't work, that fix was only for newer generated ones.
In the latest publish our undead Fire DoT bug was fixed (thankfully), our AoE was too...but its still messed up.
