Do you lose faction with the wookies by killing the Kerritamba Warriors?

I don't want to cut myself off from any quests just to obtain this weapon.

And is the weapon worth it?

I keep blinding myself with the HAR, and the Launcher Pistol keeps killing innocent bystanders or getting me into more trouble than I was looking for.
