"Flame & Bleed DoTs will stick more often" it says on loading screen.

I was raiding today and it didn't look likemy flames were stacking anymore...did they really get rid of stacking?

I hope not......but understandably they would since it is a bug.......and with the fact that we are Commando's and they hate us.

Not sure about "stacking"...didn't notice that change on TC...but todays patch does make it possible that occasionally (about 1 out of 12 times) the flame special will connect but the DoT will not stick...The DoT no longer sticks 100% of the time when the special connects...

While this may feel like a NERF, take into account it effects ALL DoT professions, not just ours...and if people wanted to see CM's altered, we have to take the good with the bad...

Personally, while testing this on TC, I really didn't see any difference in my fighting abilities...I still won as much and lost as much...and even when my DoT didn't stick, 8 seconds later when I could do another Special, the DoT stuck 100% of the time...

Why not? It's another kick in the nuts. What's a little more pain.

Some consider a NERF as ANYTHING that takes away...so if you go by this Definition, then yes...it was a NERF to us as well as other DoT professions...

But some consider a NERF as anything that was determined too powerful and then reduced in power...if you go by that definition, then this is NOT a NERF...this was actually something that should have been in game play since DoTs were first introduced...DoTs shouldn't be 100% and weren't really ever meant to be...it's just one of the reasons why many people felt that CM's were uber powerful...because their DoTs always stuck...and thus, the DoTs were Fixed not to stick 100% of the time...

Personally, while it does slightly decrease us, because our DoT is so weak as is, it's a very very slight NERF...more like they tried to kick us in the nuts but hit just left...it still hurts, but not as bad as it could have...and then, the Devs gave us some Ice to help (they up'd our potency of our DoT to make it hit a bit more then others)...

Put it to you this way...In a past Publish the Devs removed ALL Dot stacking...if our Flame DoT stacking was working it very well could have been a /bug...if it was removed it would probably be seen as a Fix...

I'll try and check tonight, but if it doesn't stack we pretty much have our answer...and if it does stack and someone reports that it does stack on here, the Devs will most likely add it to their "needs to be fixed" list...

So the question is...Do people really want me to go to the Devs and ask them to look into our DoT stacking?

NO, but ask then to take away our delay, and give us our DoT back. It was the only thing that made us viable in PvP. Yes, our DoT was very strong, but it is FIRE after all, and the only thing decent with us.

I tested this out about an hour ago - they are not stacking in any combination as far as I can tell. =(

Edit: After a lot more of both pvm and pvp testing, I did get them to stack - though only a small portion of the time in pvm and never in pvp. Not that I live long enough in pvp to really test this... How about some KD defense devs?
