Thread: So TH plays a Commando

I was just reading the stratics chat and TH admitted he plays a commando, not to mention that he loves grenades. Well if this is true why the hell arent grenades fixed. They took the time to fix them for NPC's, so why diddnt they invest the time fixing it for the players instead. If one of the dev's plays a command, we should at least get some love, but nope we still suck. I sure hope Garvin can open their minds at the correspondent summit. Im sticking with it, in hopes that something might change before the combat balance. So next year when the combat balance comes around lets hope they make commandos how they are supposed to be, strong, powerful, hardened soldiers.

If you look in the "What is a Commando" thread you'll see a recent post by TH saying there is a Friday Feature coming this next week that we should be especially interested in reading...
Not sure what it will exactly involve or just how specific it will be to us or just combat professions in general, but I'm optimistic (since he made the effort to come here and post) that we should come away feeling better...even if it's just a little...who knows...
As for TH being a Commando...I can most definitely confirm that as I've seen him play on TC...The cool thing is, he has grinded his way up believe it or not...he didn't just use his Dev abilities to become a Commando, he went the same route we did...
Also, as some folks know, JustG also plays as a Commando on TC...I agree that you'd typically think that might lead to Commando fixed a bit faster, but because of that, that is why I think they geared our fixes for the Combat Balance...They know we need a lot of love and planned on us getting it all at once and not just little by little...no little "tweaks" for us...
I'm still pushing forour "little tweaks" that we've come up with as of late (including some Grenade fixes)...hopefully Friday's Feature will include word on that...
One tip for everyone...If Friday's Feature isn't everything we hope, DO NOT rant or flame it...Several other communities say proposals for little changes, flamed that the changes should be more or that they weren't the changes they expected, and the Devs responded with silence and no changes at all...Try and offer "constructive feedback" and acknowledge that it's nice to be "acknowledged"...Who knows, maybe if, unlike some others, if we react well the Devs they'll inkind be more responsive to us...
Anyway...I'm out of here Monday Morning for a week...I'll try to pop on as much as possible from the hotel in Dublin, OH...

Btw interesting enough on that HoC chat....in the final transcript the part about TH being a commando seemed to have been added....I was there live (the gernade question was my question after all!) and all I saw in the IRC chat was that he loves gernades, and nerfs his typo heh...
If this was a bug on my end ok.....if they added it, im glad they reviewed it over and commented again

TH also said he had a Creature Handler character yesterday. But do I believe that he actually plays it as a CH?
They have multiple characters....JustG plays a BH on live, but a Commando on TC...
Its funny as ppl think the devs don't play the game that much....but if they have these many characters and play so many professions....Its not a wonder on why sometimes we feel they aren't communicating to us!!!

The reason I doubt TH uses his creatures much is that he doesn't seem to respect CH's at all. Every time something comes up about CH's around TH, he makes some rude or degrading remark.
