Thread: Frozen State already exists?

Something I noticed on a video where someone got suspended from TC for PVPing:
The CSR applied the "frozen" state to them. They could not move, shoot, or perform any world actions. They tried to attack and got a "You cannot attack while frozen" message, and a frozen state appeared in their states box.
So, what's my point? Cryoban grenades. Low damage, low AP, useless apart from the rare damage type. Give 'em the frozen state. Make it work only like a warcry, freezes people for 10 seconds, but it'd be perfect for crowd control. Someone kiting you? Cryoban 'em and root 'em to the spot, then thaw 'em out with a Flame special. Adds a nice little tactical element to Commandos too.

sounds awsome and would be decent in pvp 1v1 root em to the ground when their mellee then aim up for a flame single 2.... on the other hand it should not stick every time otherwise commando would freeze flame freeze flame ffreeze flame ect making it impossible to attack back.... otherwise sounds awsome]

This is why I say it would work like warcry, it would root them in place until attacked, and especially with the flamesingle2 recharge time, even with cryo/flame spam, they still have 8 second "windows" to attack. Don't forget that you can only w/c someone every 30 (?) seconds.

Heh, sounds about like my idea for cryobans on my grenade revamp idea. At this point, I'd really love to see any state-affects on grenades, but this would certainly be nice, as its decent and logical.
