You're probably not the only one. But I personally like it. Look at it as a kind of initiation fee to be a member of a cool and unique profession.

You can also look at it as the time when you decide on a weapon (or lack of ) that you feel comfortable with. Many Commandos "supplement" thier Commando skills with the Elite version of our pre-req trees. Also, maybe in a few weeks, the 40k will seem even more worth it! *crosses fingures*

40k combat XP was pretty easy. After you master marksman and then grind the hell hole known as brawler unarmed you should be very close to what you need. To finish it off get a good laser rifle or laser carbine and do squill hunting groups and should get the 40k fairly quickly.

Personally I think it's fine. Commando is next on my list of professions to get. While grinding Smuggler I found that without intent I had picked up some 300,000 combat xp. Now yes, 40,000 is a little more than 3 times the relative requirement for other masters.

But at the same time its saying "look this is a difficult profession, a profession that will take a while, and one you might want to think twice about" - perfectly fair in my opinion. Especially when you look at the Combat XP Requirements AFTER novice (:

have the problem is that the only good places to get combat EXP ARE FILLED WITH OTHER PLAYERS
