Thread: New Master Commando with a question

Whats up all I just made Master Commando last night and will not drop it for anything. My question is if anyone out there is also a master rifleman? I know there are alot of tkm/master commandos out there but never heard of a master rifles/ master commando. Since we really dont get a big ass rifle like we should i think that taking rifles suits the commandos much better then tkm. Just a little thought and i know many worry about the defense i would lose dropping tkm but to me the defenses are not that great with tkm. Anyways was just wondering what you all thought.

Congrats on making master. I don't really know much about rifleman,
but I'm going up the bounty hunter pistol line to go with the launcher pistol. It's another option out there for you.

Congrats on makeing master commando. My commando is the Commando/tka mix type but from what I heard is if you dont plan on mastering rifleman then its not worth going into. Now the main downside I am going to see is that your going to have no form of close combat defences. Rifleman have nice ranged defence stats but no close combat defences. This might hurt you in the long run sence commando is mostly close combat fighting do to the specials only working at close range while rifle when used has the same damage penilty in close combat.

master tk master commando novice medic(plus 1 box)here. like the post says above its the defenses that will hurt you,but with the pistol line alot of nice defenses are added there. with the tk line you get basically this. you get mellee damage mitigation 3 and a ranged mitigation 3 (from commando). you have a decent mellee defense of 94 .with a couple aaukuhan rings (or however you spell it)bump that up to 104 relativly cheap. and a pretty good ranged defense i forget the exact number.not to mention force of will, free wound healing, and center of being,defense acuity from tka.im not try ing to talk you into going tka im just trying to let you know your options. with my template you still have 18 points which i use for novice medic and one line in it which i really like due to the some good stim b's i carry around.i actually am hoping to get 1 boxpharm line and use some experimented use stim c but im not sure this is possible yet.thats my 2 creds on the subject hope it helps.

the defenses (mellee and ranged) are pretty good for rifleman, but when you equip a rifle mellee attacks have a 2.5x to hit modifier against you. Yea I know, it makes no sense, but its there. Master Marksmen/Rifleman is awesome, and Strafeshot 2 is an AOE that destroys most things. Master Commando/Rifleman is a purely offensive template though. Rifleman can stick states though. I use Intimidate Flushing shot 1 Flurry shot1 (stun and dizzy shots) Strafe2 until they get withen 30 m then Finish them off with a flamer. Get in a group witha MSL and it Rocks. Otherwise, you will get killed real easily. You still do MASSIVE damage thhough. I can destroy med turrents, (the new ones) in 5 min alone.
