Thread: Which type of marksman to pair with Commando?

Iam respecing my Fencer into a Master Commando and I will have enough SP to either make a 0/0/0/0 Novice Rifleman, Carbineer or Pistoleer.
Which combo would you folks recommend in order to best complement my commando skills and weapons?
I was leaning towards Novice Rifles, simply because it has rifle speed and accuracy bonuses and some of the commando weapons seem to be categorized as rifles (heavy beam cannon I think), as opposed to heavy weapons. However, I am not sure if rifle skill bonuses will have any impact on commando weapons and it also seems like the higher level commanod weapons like the plasma thrower are probably not categorized as "rifles".
The other profession I was leaning to was Novice Pistoleer, simply because it has some General Ranged accuracy bonus of +15, which I guess must have some impact on commando weapons.
Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether rifle skill bonuses help with commando weapons or whether carbineer or pistoleer might be better fits with commando? Thanks

All commando weapons take heavy weapons mods, besides the launcher pistol and MKs I think. So any prof will give you the same stuff, so I'd go for the most defenses or general spd/acc mods

I'd go with carbineer now, since carbineer doesn't seem to be nowhere near as broke as it was pre-CU. Also, some carbineer adds to the soldier-esque feel of a commando character.
