I finally got a Flamethrower last night and after killing a mob (usually a Gnort to avoid being incapped by a Chuba) I usually see something like this:
You get 100 Heavy Weapon XP
You get 1 Combat XP
My question is .. if I used a pistol I would have gotten 10 Combat XP .. Combat XP is always (as far as I know) 10% of full XP (regardless of type).
Is this "Working as intended" or is it a bug? (or is it just happening to me?)

It seems like the con is FUBAR on commando weapons considering you can do more dmg with a straw but get a lower con, as if the flamethrower does more dmg per round (which is untrue). So it limits your combat exp.

not always, ive seen on my launcher pistol on some enemies give 1 combat xp then on the next nme (same as the first due to being in a mob) i was given higher and more usual combat xp i normally would get on my FWG5 pistol (of course this would be due to someone already injuring the first npc, BUT his ham bars were full and i was in the middle of no-where

it's just like Creature handlers....if they use a big creature, all they'll get is 1 creature handler XP, but if they had used a smaller creature on the same enemy they'd have gotten say 50 creature handler XP.

Yep. It's broke. Due to the conning system with the gun.
