The devs stated they hope to have the publish (read: big patch) ready to go live early next week. And from what I've been hearing from the TC Commando's, life will get a little bit easier for us...

Jeez, everybody complains about not getting the patch soon enough and not having enough communication but when I drop it right in your lap nobody even notices.

I don't think it's the fact that nobody noticed it's that most of us feel the changes on the test center atm won't help us much. I for one am not counting the days until I get hw xp from the launcher and the acid cert works as gimped as the weapons are. I'll try the new flame specials when they come but my expectations are aren't much.

Sure it's something but the prof still won't be playable until they ungimp the heavy weapons.

I'm pretty sure that's what they're doing. Beefing up the specials. I'm not too happy about the launcher pistol but it's better than nothing. Really I'm just happy to see progress and hopefully they'll respond to more of our demands, but Garibaldi hasn't been around much...

Im one of those people that grind forever before I PvP. I try to master something before using it in PvP combat. So when this launcher pistol fix comes out, it will be pretty much the only way on my server to get hvy weapon xp. Most other weapons dont exist. No weapons + crappy damage means I'll be grinding it out on launcher pistols for a long time since commando has no pvp value right now anyways. I just wonder if commandos will be a functioning profession before I master it (if I ever do).

I for one can't wait for the new updates... i'm not half bad with my flamethrower as it is and i for oneam torn on the launcher pistol issue... its going to be awsome to have it give HW exp it will make the climb faster... BUT its not cool cause if i wanted to combine commando and say smuggler i can't get pistol exp anymore... i guess i'll just save the points for a new profession if they ever get some more

ALSO i got the August Newsletter and i'm happy to see a lot of new crap is on the way for EVERYONE! i saw that they are adding new mission terminals for Artisans, Entertainers, and "Explorer Types"... hopefully once they get us figured out we can get mission terminals as well!

Where are you seeing this "Coming out next week" thing? Q doesnt mention anything about a specific release date... that thread is also from June (notice the 6-25-03) and its 8-7-03 now

Nytewaulker, you're either new to the forums or having a bad day. Q-3P0 registered on 6-25-03, the thread is from 8-06-2003. He is talking about how the storyline can't be implemented until the classes are straightened out with what they are calling a publish, or a large patch, as opposed to hot fixes (small patches). He states that he hopes they can push it to the live galaxies by next week, meaning all those changes you've been hearing about could happen very soon.

I take offense to that. Look in the past parts of the forums and you will see what I have done. Im just not screwing around on the Commando boards any more because its pointless
