But since I'm here I'll answer it. No the Launcher Pistol does not have any "inherent" accuracy. Just the accuracy from the Pistol tree in Marksman. The Missiles "turning" are just a graphical effect and have no bearing on the accuracy or the damage of the weapon at all. It is merely a graphical effect.

Launcher Pistol needs to give Heavy XP. If it does, then it'll need to receive bonuses from the a Heavy tree just like any other weapon. Its a bug/quick fix having it give pistol XP right now as it is the only viable weapon Commandos can use. Once it gives Heavy XP and has its own modifiers I will never look at the Pistoleer tree again.

Does the launcher pistol have built in accuracy of some sort? Do we not need to go through the tree on pistoleer with pistol accuracy?

I've noticed on several occassions that the fire from the laucher pistol would turn in mid flight if the target moved and my hit ratio seems pretty good thus far

This would effect the reasoning that the launcher pistol gives pistol XP and not heavy weapons XP. If we need accuracy modifiers on the skill tree for our launcher pistol then getting all the pistol XP we'll need will be difficult to say the least, especially if they change the launcher pistol to where it gives HW XP

Well, from everything I've read the pistoleer tree is a must and I've seen nothing to indicate we we'll ever get our own modifiers, especially accuracy mods for the launcher pistol.

If what you are saying about the accuracy is true, then I don't see how we're going to have enough points to do much of anything since we have to use our skill points as a pistoleer both to get our specials and to get better accuracy. I was testing it today against a moving target and the accuracy wasn't nearly as good as it was with a standing target. Bad enough to warrant some accuracy modifiers
